“So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
One day, we’re going to stand before the Lord. We’re going to give an account of what we’ve done in this life. So as we learn to manage time, we’re going to realize that we have more time. When people say, “I don’t have time!” They actually do have time, but they just waste time away. We could have time for a great marriage and a great single life. We could have time to be involved with the church and time to be more involved at work. But, there’s so much wasted time that we just don’t understand. I came across this interesting saying concerning time. We have more conveniences, but less time. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We have learned to rush, but not to wait. We have learned how to make a living, but not to have a life. And we have added years to our lives, but not life to our years. The Bible says very simply for God to teach us to number our days (Psalm 90:12). Every day needs to be lived for the glory of God. So, how do we use our time? How do we lose our time? God is going to ask each of us to give an account.
